Philosophies for life

IMG_0099Nourishing the mind is fundamental to overall health. Being calm and at peace reduces stress, which reduces the chance of developing stress related disease. So basic but something I have found so hard to put into practice. Have you ever thought about the word disease, dis-ease, keeping our mind and body harmonised and working ‘with ease’ is the key to health.

Some words I have found inspirational…….

“In every forest, on every farm, in every orchard on earth, it’s what’s under the ground that creates what’s above the ground. That’s why placing your attention on the fruits that you have already grown is futile. You cannot change the fruits that are already hanging on the tree. You can, however, change tomorrow’s fruits. But to do so, you will have to dig below the ground and strengthen the roots.” ~ T. Harv

“First say to yourself what you would be, then do what you have to do” ~ Epictetus

“The clouds above us join and separate, the breeze in the courtyard leaves and returns. Life is like that, so why not relax? Who can stop us from celebrating?” ~ Lu Yu
